AMAZONIGHT

Thursday, January 29 at 7:00pm - 2:00am

AMAZONIGHT gives rise to art and artists whose practices engage in consciousness raising, past, present & future feminisms, critiques of capitalism and yes, crystal power. Calling all the Amazons!

The exhibition emanates from the crystal: AMAZONITE.
We are holding it in the palms of our hands. Do you feel the power within yourself radiating out into the world? It is said that this crystal was named for the legendary Amazon women who worshiped the goddess Diana, for her bravery and calm courage.

Looking at our cultural herstories, we can create a feminist present that acknowledges both metaphysical and material realities; one that simultaneously embraces the sacred feminine and the spirit of the transgender warrior.

This is AMAZONIGHT, a group exhibition and celebration.

Amazons

We make a night for you that we have heard of in legends.
Inspiring truth, sincerity, honor, self-love, courage, integrity,
communication, trust, prophecy and openness.
Amazonite, with you we are manifesting our dreams and desires.
With you, we will celebrate.
With you we step into individual and collective power.
